The four ranges of the Kaziranga National Park.

Kaziranga is dry now. The tourist season has arrived. All the flood waters have gone. The brown tracks of land that were once under water can be seen inside the jungle. The animals come to feed on the green shoots of grass that are appearing on the surface.The park is supposed to be opened on 1st of November. There are 4 gates from which one can enter the park. The best is the central range also called Kohora. This range can be toured on jeep or elephant. As this is the central part of the jungle, there is more chance of seeing more animals. But the Bagori range(the western part of the jungle) is more beautiful and look natural with many trees. The Bagori range also has elephant and jeep tour facility. Hills N Lakes Resort is situated near the Bagori range. All the animals are seen here also.The tourists often describe seeing rhinos, deer, pelicans, lakes full of fish, buffaloes, etc . There is an eastern rangeccalled Agoratoli.It is famous for migratory birds.The 4th and the last range is the Gorakheti or Burapahar.It also has jeep and elephant safari. This range is the wildest of all the four ranges.

A bit about our resort.

Most of the people who love nature also like to spend some time in it. Our resort is built amidst Nature. If you believe me, all the animals found in the jungle are found in the premises of our resort at some time or other. They include rabbits, deer, wild pigs, wild elephants, eagles, hornbills, etc. We have lots of space for hiking, or for a leisure walk. The landscape is hilly with a natural lake. That is why we call it the Hills N Lakes Resort. There is a tall bamboo bridge that connects two hills. We have a big flower garden. We are cultivating orange, turmeric, etc. 

Here are some details of the tariff of our resort. We have 6 double bedded rooms with hot water, attached bathroom and TV. For the above rooms the room rent is Rs.1500. We have an AC room for Rs.2000 per night. And now we also have 3 luxurious rooms with bathtubs and AC and a nice view of the surrounding jungle from the windows for Rs.3000 per night. We have a restaurant as well. Food as per menu can be ordered. One important point about our resort is that the entire Kaziranga jungle is visible from our resort.
